We are sure that many of you will be experienced Francophiles - but here are a few reminders/tips to make your visit even more enjoyable.
ALWAYS say 'Bonjour' and 'Au Revoir' - even if the rest of your French is a little rusty!
Beware the 2 hour lunch break - shops, attractions, garages etc still adhere to the long lunch. We can advise you of shops that are open.
Bring your own Tea - the French version of English breakfast is an acquired taste.
In some of the very popular Towns to visit ( e.g. La Rochelle,Nantes etc ) the 'Park and Ride' is a comfortable, easy and inexpensive solution to navigating busy streets.
As in the UK, the best deals in the restaurants are at lunchtimes and on set menus.
Bear in mind when eating out -Sunday lunchtimes are very important for French families. Often restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings and Mondays.
