ACCOMMODATION 'Les Petites Pierres' has received a prestigious 2 stars rating by the Deux Sevres 'Prefecture' authority.Our charmingly renovated circa 18th century 2 bedroom gîte is thoughtfully furnished to a high standard throughout. It has a 'typically French' feel with original oak beams and other features whilst offering modern facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. The shower room and toilet has an electric shaver socket and is situated on the ground floor. The comfortable, attractive, living/dining room has a solid oak fire surround and a woodburner which makes the gîte wonderfully warm and cosy during those chillier months. It is well furnished and includes a cd player and video player. Upstairs, there are 2 delightful bedrooms with comfy beds and both bedrooms have original oak beams and views over woodland at the front of the gîte. One has a double bed and the other, 2 twin beds. A 3rd bed can be added to accommodate 3 children in total, under the age of 8. You can enjoy your breakfast croissants, supplied by our local baker, at your patio table immediately outside the gîte, in your own private sun-trap. Also, at the front of the property you have a large garden terrace with woodland views for your exclusive use, equipped with patio table and chairs and a barbecue so that you can make the most of the sunny days and warm evenings, enjoying some good French food and fine wine, with just the relaxing sounds of the wild birds and the countryside. 'La Roche' has received an impressive 3 stars by the Deux Sevres 'Prefecture' authority. It is our beautifully renovated 4 bedroom gîte. Also, thoughtfully furnished to high standards and with comfort in mind. Downstairs there is a shower room with electric shaver socket, separate toilet and 2 pretty bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. The hallway has the unusual and distinctive feature of the granite bedrock of the hillside forming part of the exterior wall. Upstairs there is a second shower room with toilet and 2 further bedrooms which feature original oak beams. The stunning wood-panelled double bedroom overlooks the woods and lake to the front of the property and the fourth bedroom with bunk beds is accessed via the double bedroom and overlooks the fields and trees at the rear of the property. Also upstairs, on the same level, is the spacious, open-plan, well-equipped kitchen area overlooking woods and fields to the rear of the gîte with the sitting room/dining area at the front, enjoying marvellous views over the nearby lake and surrounding country-side. 'La Roche' is well equipped with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, cd player and dvd player.

the living area, the patio doors lead you to your own private, fully
equipped patio/barbecue area-great for relaxing in the evening sun
with a bottle of wine and some good French food. The grounds surrounding the gîtes include our beautiful pool area where you can enjoy the sun all day on our spacious, decked sun terrace with sun beds and fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. The pool measures 9m long x 4.6m wide x 1.2m deep. Behind the gîtes you can relax on one of the benches and take in the fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. We also have a large games field where we have outdoor table-tennis, volleyball, boules, badminton, volleyball, basketball, football and various bats & balls available. A cot and highchair are available for either of the gîtes on request but please supply your own cot bedding. There is a stairgate fixed at the top of the stairs in both gîtes. We have deliveries of fresh croissants and bread from the local boulangerie every morning (except Thursday) during July and August. The owners, Peter & Karen are available on site to offer help, suggest suitable places for eating out/shopping etc and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
